Sycco’s cover of The Pointer Sisters’ ‘Jump (For My Love)’ for triple j’s Like A Version is a vibrant reimagining of the 1983 electropop classic. Performed in January 2025, this rendition showcases Sycco’s unique blend of psychedelic pop and modern synth textures. She revisits a note from 2019 titled “cover songs,” where ‘Jump (For My Love)’ was the sole entry. Inspired by the song’s empowering energy, Sycco sought to bring it into the present while maintaining its original essence. She enhanced the track with subtle synth modifications and added guitar elements, aiming to stay true to the original’s spirit without overhauling its structure
